Our Background
GP Technology Solutions Pty Ltd had its beginnings in November 1998, as a result of having identified a need for affordable, quality technology services in the NSW Education sector. The company started as a Network and Technical Support provider, with primary focus on NSW K-12 schools, providing advice and technical expertise on networking, workstation imaging, server setup and maintenance. Our customer-orientated attitude and willingness to go out of our way to ensure the satisfaction of our customers was a trademark of our service - for us, our exemplary reputation with our clients was a matter of pride.
Through our close working relationship with hundreds of schools in NSW, we soon became aware of numerous problems with ICT in the K-12 education sector that were making our customer's day-to-day work an uphill battle. The first of these, GProxy, was created in 2001 to solve problems schools were experiencing at the time. It was a outstanding success, and formed the basis of what would later become our flagship platform.
In 2006, we launched Sentral - an unique integrated solution of software platform and applications designed specifically to meet the needs of K-12 schools in Australia. Sentral sought to solve some of those frustrations that hampered many existing solutions in schools. No more double data-entry, corrupted data files, or time wasted administering software systems. We took care of the maintenance, management and development, and freed school staff to focus on their primary objective – delivering quality education and using technology as an enabler to do so more effectively.
In 2009, the Sentral solution is in use in over 1,000 schools across Australia, with international markets presently under development.
